I have been a woodworker for over twenty-five years, originally apprenticing under the finest European craftsmen at the Kittinger Furniture Company in Buffalo, NY.
I also was a part of building furniture for the White House; such as President Carter's fireside chat chairs, and replacement cabinet member's chairs. One of my personally and professionally defining moments was as one person of the four- member team who built the 1983 Economic Summit Talk meeting table for the Ronald Reagan presidency. I have been commissioned to create first time samples for furniture companies such as Dates Wiser, and Herndon for market at Highpoint NC. Later, several new custom furniture companies in the western New York area employed me as a consultant to help them bring their business to a successfully higher level. Currently I have a studio at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center in Niagara Falls, N.Y., where I am working on many types of wood working projects for various organizations, antique dealers, and private individuals, primarily in western New York State. The major portion of my current work centers on antique restoration and repair, the restoration and repair of other wooden pieces-including wooden stringed instruments-and custom woodworking projects. |
